MicroEdge Series is a modular product system, that can be scaled through hardware or software add-ons: 

Upgrading the CPU: the head module is available in two hardware configurations, MicroEdge Basic or Plus, addressing the needs of machine manufacturers who need a more powerful computation device.

Adding Plugins: the head module supports up to three additional modules, allowing scalable and flexible system configurations.
