MGW-200 is an industrial IoT Gateway, which is a robust, industrial grade gateway which can
collect data from various sensors and other equipment such as PLCs etc.. primarily useful for remote monitoring.
MGW-200 was designed to address the challenges in typical industrial installations, where
the gateway can be configured via Melody cloud.
For the backhaul internet connection, MGW-200 comes with default Ethernet and either one
of WiFi / 4G (fallback to 2G) communication. The gateway becomes immediately functional
within 2 minutes after being powered on. All the messages towards the Melody Cloud are
secured with SSL over HTTPS and are fully encrypted.
MGW-200 has sufficient internal storage to record the measurements and store them on the
device in case of network failure, and starts pushing these measurements to cloud upon
establishing internet connection.
Some of the key functionalities of the Melody MGW-200 Gateway are:
● Can connect to any Modbus complaint slave device to fetch data remotely
● Completely remotely configurable.
● Comes with several sensor inputs as well.
● Unforgeable data transmission between gateway and the cloud
Depending on the requirement of more sensor inputs, an additional GPIO channel adapter
can be connected to the gateway over Modbus.
