ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
ZONE

Emission Monitoring System (EMS) Market is expected to grow at a significant rate and experts  forecasts the EMS market size  to grow from USD 2.4 bn in 2018 to USD 4.4 bn by 2025 at a CAGR of 9.3%.

Rapid industrialization is one of the factors contributing to severe environmental damage.  Toxic emissions from various industries can pollute air, water, and land. Power plants and many other industries are emitting tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere. Recognizing the negative consequences of these gases, many countries have taken major steps to properly monitor and curb emission levels.

The environmental regulatory authorities need manufacturing industries to track pollutants through emission monitoring systems.  The Central Pollution Control Board has issued direction of the Water and Air Acts to the State Pollution Control Boards and Pollution Control Committees for directing the 17 categories of highly polluting industries such as Pulp & Paper, Distillery, Sugar, Tanneries, Power Plants, Iron & Steel, Cement, Oil Refineries, Fertilizer, Chloral Alkali Plants, Dye & Dye Intermediate Units, Pesticides, Zinc, Copper, Aluminum, Petrochemicals and Pharma Sector, etc., and Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP),Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), Common Bio Medical Waste and Common Hazardous Waste Incinerators for installation of online effluent quality and emission monitoring systems to help tracking the discharges of pollutants from these units.

The factors contributing to the growth of the EMS market include increasing environmental protection initiatives, increasing concerns about health and safety, growing demand for oil & gas and stringent environmental regulations.
